A new opinion poll on the five-seater Donegal constituency carried out for TG4 suggests Fine Gael could lose the only seat it has in the constituency.
The poll of 543 respondents was conducted by telephone on the 15 and 16 of November.
It also suggests Fianna Fáil could win two seats and Sinn Féin is set to hold onto the two seats the party won in the last election.
The poll shows Sinn Féin's Pearse Doherty taking 22% of the first preference vote.
He is followed by Fianna Fáil's Pat 'The Cope' Gallagher on 13%.
If replicated on voting day that would probably see the former MEP and TD reelected again to Dáil Éireann.
Incumbent Fianna Fáil TD Charlie McConalogue is on 12% and Sinn Féin's Pádraig Mac Lochlainn on 11%.
With transfers and in the case of Mr Mac Lochlainn, a surplus from Pearse Doherty should see both retain their seats.
The other outgoing TD Independent Thomas Pringle is also on 11%.
As in 2020 he too will require transfers to get him over the line.
The candidates running for Fine Gael are on 6% each.
They are Nikki Bradley, an outgoing Senator and disability rights campaigner and businessman John McNulty.
Charles Ward, the candidate for the 100% Redress Party, running on the mica issue is on 6%.
The poll was conducted by IPSOS/B&A and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4%.
