Fire breaks out at laundry premises in Cork city

A fire broke out overnight at a commercial laundry premises in Cork city.

The alarm was raised shortly after 1.30am, when smoke and flames were seen coming from a unit at Fitz's Boreen on the Old Mallow Road.

Five units of the Cork City Fire Service attended the scene, along with gardaí.

The fire was brought under control shortly before 6am, a spokesperson for the Cork City Fire Service has confirmed.

No injuries have been reported.
