A man has died in a fatal collision in Co Armagh.

The pedestrian was found lying on the road between Cullaville and Crossmaglen.

Police had received a report around 11.50pm last night for the safety of a man in the area.

When officers attended, he was found on the road with serious injuries.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it received a 999 call at 00.15am this morning and dispatched two emergency crews.

"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, no patients were transported to hospital," it said.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity or who has dash-cam footage to come forward.

The Cullaville Road has reopened.
