A man in his 20s has died following a crash at Drimina, Tubbercurry in Co Sligo in the early hours of the morning.
The single-vehicle incident involving a car the man was driving took place at around 3.45am on the R294.
The local coroner has been notified, and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.
The road remains closed with local diversions in place as examinations are carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 2am and 4am are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
