A pedestrian in his 80s has died in hospital after he was struck by a motorbike in a crash in Co Kilkenny last month.

The incident happened on the N24 in Mooncoin at around 7.30pm on Saturday 21 September.

The man was taken to the Mater Hospital in Dublin following the incident, but has since died from his injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

They have asked that any road users who were in Mooncoin village at the time or travelling through between 7pm and 8pm and have camera footage to make it available to them.
