Thousands of people gathered on Bray seafront for the 17th annual Bray Air Display in Co Wicklow.
There were 13 different aircraft in the Co Wicklow skies, the world class pilots showed off their aerobatic skills.
The Flight Display Director Sé Pardy said it takes a whole year to organise this event but he said it is worth it and that it puts Bray on the map.
There was great excitement in the crowd when the parachutists from the Air Corps Black Knights Parachute Display Team landed on the beach.
Briagdier General Rory O'Connor, the General Officer in Command, Irish Air Corps said the day was a great opportunity to show what the Irish Defence Forces is all about.A recruitment stand representing all the classes of the forces showcased some of what Óglaigh na hÉireann do.
The lineup included vintage aircraft with the historic Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane planes flying in formation during the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Aer Lingus Airbus A320neo provided something more modern.

The LÉ James Joyce is anchored off the coast to provide support while the Defence Forces has an interactive display on show allowing members of the public to see what the Reserve Defence forces do.
The Bray Air Display is one of the country's biggest free events while organisers estimate it contributes around €3.5m to the local economy.
