A woman has died and two men have been seriously injured in a collision in Co Carlow.
It happened on the N80 at Ballintrane around 5.50pm when a van and a car collided.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was treated by emergency services at the scene but later died from her injuries.
Two men who were travelling in the van sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to hospital.
The road was closed for a period to facilitate a forensic collision investigation but it has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to the collision or any road users who may have camera footage to contact them.
