A woman in her 80s has died following a road crash in Co Donegal this afternoon.
It happened on the N56 at An Fál Carrach at around 1.30pm.
The woman was the driver and only person in the car at the time of the crash.
She had been brought to hospital for treatment for serious injuries, but was later pronounced dead.
The section of road where the incident happened is currently closed, and local diversions are in place.
A garda forensic examination is under way at the scene.
