A man aged in his late 50s has died following a fall while he was hill walking in Co Donegal.
The man was walking with another man at Cró Nimhe, Dún Lúiche, when he sustained fatal injuries in a fall at around 1pm yesterday afternoon.
Following a recovery operation, he was taken from the mountain and brought to the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital (LUH).
The local coroner has been informed and preparations are being made for a post-mortem examination.
The second man, also aged in his late 50s, suffered injuries and was airlifted from the scene to LUH.
His injuries have been described as non-life threatening.
