Gardaí are investigating an incident in which three people were injured during an aggravated burglary in Cork.
The three, two women and a man, were taken to Cork University Hospital, where they are being treated for what are being described as serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The incident happened around 6am at a house at Millerd Steet close to Mercy University Hospital.
A small amount of cash was taken during the incident.
The house where the incident occurred has been sealed off and a technical examination will take place later.
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses and to people who may have been in the area at the time to contact them at the Bridewell Garda Station in Cork.
They say no arrests have been made.
