A bus carrying students to school veered off a road in Co Limerick this morning, however no injuries were reported.
The incident happened on the R513 near Caherconlish and emergency services were notified shortly after 8am.
The bus was carrying students to school at the time.
The vehicle appears to have veered into a drain adjoining the road when it overturned and landed on its side.
A number of ambulances, along with fire service personnel, were dispatched to the scene, none of the passengers or the driver of the bus required hospital treatment.
However, a number of students were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
A total of 34 students from the school were on the bus at the time.
A spokesperson for the Department of Education said the bus was operating under contract to the school transport scheme.
The department said matters relating to safety are of the utmost importance to the operation of the scheme.
It said Bus Éireann was carrying out a full investigation into the incident and would be providing further information to officials.
The bus was en route to John The Baptist Community School in Hospital, Co Limerick.
The school's principal Rachel Hayes said there was an overwhelming sense of gratitude that there had been no serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Ms Hayes paid tribute to the senior students on board who she said had comforted and assisted their younger counterparts from the bus.
She said there had been an outpouring of support for all involved throughout the day and that the actions of teachers and first responders who were at the scene also greatly eased the worry and concern among the students involved.
The incident happened close to the scene of another school bus collision in February 2018.
That also involved the transport of students to the same secondary school.
On that occasion, a total of 36 people were taken to University Hospital Limerick after the bus they were travelling on collided with a car on the same stretch of road.
Most of those were discharged from hospital within hours of the 2018 crash, with a small number sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, such as fractures or sprains.
