Woman in critical condition following Ringsend road incident

A pedestrian is in a critical condition following what gardaí have described as a serious road traffic collision in Ringsend on Wednesday morning.

The woman in her 50s was injured following a collision with a van at the junction of Cambridge Road and Thorncastle Street in Ringsend.

She was transferred to St Vincent's University Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

A technical examination of the scene has been undertaken by forensic collision investigators.

Gardaí are asking witnesses to the incident or anyone with video footage (including dash-cam) from the area between 7.45am and 8.15am on Wednesday to make it available to them.
