A 41-year-old man has appeared before Killarney District Court charged with assault causing harm to a man and a woman as well as aggravated burglary and production of an article in the course of a dispute on 11 March.
All three people, the accused and the injured parties, were known to each other the court was told.
Edward O'Shea, of St John’s Park, Castleisland, made no reply to the charges, when he appeared before Killarney District Court.
The court was told gardaí had no objection to bail on set conditions.
Bail was granted and the conditions read out by Judge David Waters.
Mr O’Shea is to reside at an address at Village Road, Kilcommon Cross, Thurles, Co Tipperary.
Gardaí outlined how the accused man works as a driver and asked that he sign on at Thurles Garda Station at weekends, only, on Saturday and on Sunday.
He is also not to enter Castleisland and he must have no contact, "direct or indirect", with witnesses and injured parties and be contactable by gardaí at all times on his mobile phone.
Judge Waters put the matter in for directions from the DPP and to decide on jurisdiction on 10 April in Tralee District Court.
