A woman has been hospitalised with apparent stab wounds following an aggravated burglary in Co Kerry.
The incident took place in Castleisland during the early hours of this morning.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of her injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
A man, aged in his 40s, has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is currently detained at a garda station in Co Kerry.
