Two people arrested for questioning in connection with the murder of 61-year-old Michael Foley in Co Cork remain in garda custody.
They are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Bandon Garda Station.
They can be held for up to 24 hours at which stage they must be released or charged.
It is understood they exercised their right to rest from midnight to 8am.
Mr Foley's body was discovered on 6 February at his home at Annville, Barrett's Place, in Macroom.
He was a separated father-of-four and originally from Clonakilty in west Cork.
Mr Foley was buried at St Mary's Cemetery in Clonakilty following requiem mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in the town on Monday.
