A man in his 40s has been seriously injured in an assault in Tipperary Town in the early hours of this morning.
The man was attacked on the road at Greenane Drive at around 2am. He was taken to University Hospital Limerick where his condition is described as serious but stable.
Gardaí have arrested two men in their 30s in connection with the incident. Both are being held in Garda Stations in Co Tipperary.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone with camera footage in the vicinity of Greenane Drive from 1.30am to 3am to share it with them.
