A man has been arrested after cash totalling €62,800 and a high-powered car were seized in Co Cork yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí conducted a search operation at a home in Cobh and arrested a man, aged in his late 30s, at the scene following the discovery.
He is being held at a garda station in Co Cork.
In a subsequent operation, €3,500 worth of suspected cocaine, 180 rounds of ammunition, an ammunition press, incapacitant spray and drug-related paraphernalia were seized from another residence in the Cobh area.
Gardaí said all seized items will be subjected to forensic analysis and examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
