A 20-year-old man has appeared in court charged in relation to the death of a suspected gunman in a Christmas Eve shooting in Dublin.
Brandon Hennessy, from Sheephill Avenue in Dublin, has been charged with two offences - violent disorder and producing a steel-handled brush as a weapon.
The court was told that he "retaliated" after his father Jason Hennessy was attacked and fatally injured during the gun attack at Browne's Steakhouse in Blanchardstown.
The gunman, 26-year-old Tristan Sherry, was also attacked and died of blunt force trauma to the head during the incident.

Garda Alan Murphy gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution at Blanchardstown District Court today.
He told the court that Brandon Hennessy "made no comment" when he was charged at 8.54pm last night.
Defence solicitor Simon Fleming said there was no objection to bail subject to conditions, which had been agreed with the gardaí, but he asked that they not be read aloud during the brief hearing.
The judge asked what was alleged, and Garda Murphy said there was an incident in Browne's Steakhouse, and "this male was involved with a number of other males".
The defence solicitor then told the court: "His father was murdered, and it is alleged that he retaliated against the person who did the murder."
Remanded on bail
Judge Jones noted that Brandon Hennessy was not working and granted him free legal aid. The judge remanded him on bail to appear again in court on 12 March.
He is the seventh person to be charged in connection with the gun attack.
Last week, gardaí charged a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named, with engaging in violent disorder in the restaurant at the time of the shooting.
18-year-old Jonas Kabangu has also been charged with engaging in violent disorder on 24 December at the steakhouse. His address cannot be reported due to security concerns.
Four other co-defendants charged over recent weeks are in custody on remand.
18-year-old David Amah of Hazel Grove, Portrane Road, Donabate, Dublin; 22-year-old Michael Andrecut with an address at Sheephill Avenue in Dublin 15; and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be identified because he is a minor, have been charged with murder.
25-year-old Wayne Deegan, of Linnetsfield Avenue, Phibblestown, Dublin 15, was charged with producing a knife as a weapon during an offence, assault causing harm to Tristan Sherry, and violent disorder at the steakhouse.
