Gardaí have said a number of people have been taken to hospital following a crash involving a Dublin Bus.
The driver of the vehicle has been transferred to St Vincent's University Hospital to be treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
A number of the passengers were also been taken to hospital for medical assessment.
The incident happened on the N11 dual carriageway between the Trees Road Lower and Mount Merrion Avenue junctions in Stillorgan at around 4pm this afternoon on the inbound lane.
The section of the N11 where it occurred was closed for a number of hours and diversions were put in place.
It has since reopened.
Dublin Bus confirmed that one of its buses had been involved in a crash in Dublin.
The double-decker bus involved was operating on the 46A route from Dún Laoghaire to the Phoenix Park.
A spokesperson for Dublin Bus said all the passengers who were on board the vehicle were evacuated.
Emergency services attended the scene along with a team of Dublin Bus chief inspectors.
Dublin Fire Brigade and the National Ambulance Service were also present.
It said two fire engines, an emergency tender from the rescue unit and an ambulance were deployed to the scene from Rathfarnham, Dún Laoghaire and Dolphins Barn fire stations.
It had appealed to road users to avoid the area if possible, as all the city-bound lanes have been closed.
Images show that the bus mounted the central reservation and knocked over a tree.
Dublin Bus had earlier advised customers to "expect delays" as buses are currently being diverted inbound via Stillorgan village, North Avenue and Fosters Avenue.
