A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a series of robberies over a 15-month period in west Dublin.

Dylan Travers, of no fixed abode, was brought before Judge David McHugh this morning by gardaí from the Blanchardstown Crime Task Force.

He is accused of committing 12 robberies at a variety of locations in the greater Blanchardstown area between October 2022 and January of this year.

The offences are alleged to have occurred in different areas including Hazelbury Park, Millennium Park, Hartstown Park, Grove Road and Castlecurragh Heath.

He is also accused of two counts of possession of articles during the course of some of the robberies.

Garda Alan Murphy gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution and told Blanchardstown District Court that Mr Travers made no reply after caution to any of the charges.

He was remanded in custody to appear again by video link at Cloverhill District Court next week.
