Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery that took place in Clonakilty, Co Cork this afternoon.
A man armed with a knife demanded cash and threatened an employee after he entered a business on Kent Street in the town at approximately 12.35pm.
Gardaí said the man left the scene shortly after with a sum of cash.
No injuries were reported, and technical examination of the scene has taken place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this robbery to come forward.
"Any person who was travelling through Kent Street car park between 12.20pm and 12.50pm and observed any activity which drew their attention are asked to come forward," a Garda statement said.
They are also appealing for any road users or pedestrians who may have dash-cam footage and were in the area, or nearby areas, between 12.20pm and 12.50pm to make it available to them.
