Woman in her 50s killed in Co Kerry collision

A woman has died following a collision between a truck and a car near the village of Glenflesk in Co Kerry this afternoon.

The woman, who is in her 50s and was the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

Emergency services have closed off the N22 road between Glenflesk and Lisivigeen for a technical examination.

It is expected to remain closed until tomorrow morning.

A garda spokesperson has appealed for any potential witnesses to come forward.

They said that they are looking to make contact with those who may have camera footage from the area between 3pm and 4.15pm.
