Six men in custody over €21m cocaine seizure

Six men remain in custody in connection with the seizure of a €21m consignment of cocaine in Co Limerick four days ago.

The drugs were found on a bulk carrier that had docked in the Port of Foynes on Tuesday.

The men, aged 50, 46, 44, 41, 35 and 32 are all being held at garda stations in Limerick.

Searches of the Maltese-registered vessel are continuing.
