Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning for Connacht, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath.
The alert is valid from 6pm this evening until 10am tomorrow, with the forecaster predicting very cold weather with frost and ice.
Met Éireann said there could be slippery conditions underfoot, hazardous travelling conditions and animal welfare concerns.
