An investigation is under way into the death of a 30-year-old man, whose body was discovered at an apartment in on Clare Street in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, yesterday.
The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post-mortem examination is expected to take place tomorrow.
Gardaí are awaiting the results of the post-mortem to determine the course of their investigation.
The deceased man is understood to be a Slovak national.
