A man in his 70s has been arrested after gardaí seized a gun in south Dublin.
The arrest was made following searches in the Saggart area yesterday, and the gun along with a quantity of ammunition has been sent for analysis.
The man has since been released from custody and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
