Car driver, bus passengers injured in Co Tipperary crash

A car driver was seriously injured and three bus passengers sustained less serious injuries in a collision between a bus and a car in south Tipperary this evening.

The incident happened on the N76 near Kilsheelan, about six kilometres from Clonmel at about 4.30pm.

The driver of the car was brought to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.

Three passengers on the bus were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The scene was attended by a number of ambulances as well as fire service units and gardaí and diversions were put in place and remain in place overnight.
