More than 430,000 cigarettes have been seized in Co Cavan.
The seizure was made following the search of a vehicle and a man in his 20s was arrested.
The intelligence-led operation involved Revenue and An Garda Síochána.
Revenue said that the illicit cigarettes were branded 'Sobraine' and have a retail value of more than €341,000.
This represents a potential loss of approximately €267,000 to the exchequer.
