The death of a man in his 40s whose body was found in a car park in Limerick city last Friday is no longer being treated as suspicious, gardaí have confirmed.

The body of the man was discovered in the car park at Steamboat Quay off the Dock road in Limerick at 5am on Friday morning last.

An investigation was launched and the scene was examined by technical gardaí over the weekend.

Following the conclusion of a post mortem, gardaí now say they are preparing a file for the Coronor's Court.
