Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body in Co Louth yesterday.
The discovery was made at a property in the Newry Road area of Dundalk at around 2pm.
A post-mortem examination is to be carried out, and will inform the course of the garda investigation.
It is understood that the body has yet to be identified and investigations are continuing.
