A man in his 20s has been arrested after cannabis with an estimated street value of €3.92m was seized after gardaí searched a car in north Co Dublin.
The vehicle was intercepted in the Balbriggan area shortly after 7pm yesterday.
During a search of the vehicle 187kgs of cannabis herb and 30kgs of cannabis resin were seized.
The man was arrested and is being held at a garda station in north Dublin. He can be held for up to seven days.
Gardaí say the combined value of the drugs seized is estimated at €3.92m and will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
