Global insurance broker The Ardonagh Group is to create 30 new jobs in Mullingar, Co Westmeath.

The company's Global Data and Risk Management Centre opened in 2021. It already employs 30 people.

At the launch this afternoon, Tánaiste Micheál Martin outlined the increasing importance of regional hubs like Mullingar to support Ireland's foreign direct investment ambitions.

He also described the lab’s success as "a clear demonstration of how the Irish tech talent pool can drive remarkable outcomes for international businesses".

The jobs are supported by IDA Ireland.

"Today’s official opening of Ardonagh’s analytics lab in Mullingar and the company’s commitment to offering highly skilled employment opportunities in the Midlands is a very significant development," said Kieran Donoghue, Global Head of International Financial Services at IDA Ireland.
