Two men injured following incident in Tallaght

Two men have been injured, one of them critically, in an incident in Tallaght, Dublin.

Just after 5pm, gardaí and emergency services were alerted after shots were fired at a house in the Kiltalown area of Tallaght.

On man, in his 20s was injured in the shooting and taken to Tallaght University Hospital but his condition is said not to be life-threatening

Another man in his 20s was hit by a car during the incident and is said to be in a critical condition in hospital.

Shortly after the incident a car was discovered on fire and abandoned on Mount Seskin Rd.

No arrests have been made and an incident room has been established at Tallaght Garda Station.

A number of scenes in the Kiltalown area have been preserved for examination and gardaí say their enquires are ongoing.
