Three arrested as 16 puppies and drugs seized in Dublin

Three men have been arrested following the seizure of drugs, dogs and other items from an address in Ballymun, Dublin, yesterday.

Gardaí, Dublin City Council staff and volunteers from the My Lovely Horse animal charity took part in the search operation where cannabis worth €30,400, four vehicles and a trailer, clothes, bags, a watch and tools and electrical items, believed to be stolen, were all taken away from the property at St Margaret's Park.

Some 16 puppies were rescued during the operation and are in the care of My Lovely Horse receiving veterinary attention.

Three men, aged in their 20s, 30s and 40s, were arrested during the course of the operation and have since been charged.

The men in their 20s and 40s are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, while the man in his 30s is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at a later date.

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
