A pedestrian has died in a road traffic collision in Co Mayo.
The incident happened on the R345 - the Neale to Cong road- shortly before 5pm when a truck collided with the pedestrian who gardaí say was a teenager.
His body was removed from the scene and taken to Mayo University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
The R345 will remain closed overnight and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
They are asking anyone who was travelling on the R345, the Neale to Cong road, between 4pm and 5pm this evening and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) to make it available to them at Claremorris Garda Station on 094 937 2080, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
