A man has been arrested after cocaine with an estimated street value of €2.4 million was seized at Rosslare Europort yesterday.

The drugs were discovered when Revenue officers stopped and searched a vehicle that had arrived on a ferry from Cherbourg, France.

A man in his 30s was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was arrested at the scene by gardaí.

He is currently detained at a garda station in the eastern region.

Investigations are ongoing.
