A cancer support group in Monaghan is hosting a portrait of Vicky Phelan at an exhibition this weekend.
The painting of the late cervical check campaigner by Vincent Devine is being exhibited on in St Joseph's Pastoral Center.
It is the first time the striking portrait has been on display in the North East.
It was brought to Monaghan by Crocus Cancer Support, a peer support group for people with a cancer diagnosis and those at different stages of their journey.
The exhibition opened yesterday evening and was attended by artist Vincent Devine and the painting's owner David Brennan.
Vicky Phelan'a solicitor Cian O'Carroll as well as friend and fellow cancer awareness advocate John Wall also attended the opening evening.
The portrait will be on display for members of the public from today.
Organisers said that Crocus is hosting the exhibition as a thank you to the centre's friends and supporters in the Monaghan area.
