A sister of Fiona Sinnott who has been missing for 25 years has said the family have not given up hope of finding her and giving her a proper burial.
The last confirmed sighting of Fiona was at around midnight on 8 February, 1998, when she left Butler's pub in Broadway, Co Wexford, where she had been socialising with friends.
Today, on the 25th anniversary of that last sighting, gardaí and her family have issued a new appeal for information.
"It’s very difficult," Fiona’s sister Diane said today. "Twenty-five years is a very long time without any answers and it gets harder and harder. It’s a very hard day today, knowing that it’s 25 years she’s out there, and no answers."
She said that it "gets harder and harder with each year," for the family, without any answers, and said they would love for anyone who knows anything, however small or seemingly insignificant, to tell the gardaí.
"We’re pleading with them, any little bit of information whatsoever, if they think it’s only a tiny bit, it could be vital information for the gardaí and just come forward and say what’s on their mind and give us answers."
She said that, 25 years on, Fiona’s family haven’t given up on finding her. "We still have hope, we still have hope that someone, some day will give us the right answer and we’ll find her and bring her home."
That would mean so much to them, she added: "It would be terrific for our family. It would, absolutely terrific, and just to give her a proper burial."

Gardaí believe people in the Broadway area have information
Gardaí in Wexford have today renewed their appeal for information on Fiona Sinnott's disappearance.
They said a motorist saw "a male and a female on the roadway near Kisha Cross" at around that time and that there were "two males in their late teens or early twenties in close proximity".
None of these four people has come forward and gardaí are "anxious" to trace them or anyone else who was in the vicinity and did not come forward.
In 2005, gardaí arrested a man on suspicion of the murder of Ms Sinnott.
At the same time, three women and two other men were arrested and detained in connection with the investigation into the disappearance.
No person has been charged in connection with this investigation to date.
"Given the passage of time, on this the 25th anniversary of the disappearance and murder of Fiona Sinnott, gardaí are appealing to anyone with information in relation to the disappearance and murder of Fiona Sinnott to come forward," a statement said.
They believe there are people in the Broadway area of Co Wexford who have information vital to this investigation.
Those with information are asked to contact Wexford Garda Station, any other garda station, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111, or any member of An Garda Síochána.
