A man in his 30s has died after getting into difficulty in the water off the Galway coast.
The incident happened in An Spidéal (Spiddal) early this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 1.30pm.
Following a search operation, the man's body was recovered from the water.
Gardaí say a file on the incident is to be prepared for the Coroner.
