Three men have died on the roads following a motorcycle collision in Co Tipperary, a suspected hit-and-run, also in Tipperary, and a crash into the water in Co Offaly.

Gardaí are at the scene of the collision involved a motorcycle and a lorry on New Road, Lisronagh in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

The collision occurred at around 10am.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Tipperary University Hospital.

The road is currently closed and the services of Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested. Local diversions are currently in place.

Separately in Templemore, a man in his 60s was killed in a suspected hit-and-run in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí were alerted to reports of a man on the side of the R433 road near Clonmore Village shortly after 1am.

The man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed this morning to allow for a technical examination of the area.

Meanwhile in Co Offaly, gardaí are investigating the circumstances which saw a van enter the water at Banagher Marina, Co Offaly, yesterday at around 5.30pm.

Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after and treated the driver of the van, a man in his 70s, before taking him to Ballinasloe Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

No one else was in the vehicle.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses to all three incidents to come forward, particularly any road users who may have camera footage.
