A number of roads in west Waterford were closed to traffic this morning because of overnight rainfall.
Council staff were working to clear blockages while gardaí advised motorists to take care on all roads because of the possibility of blocked roads and surface water.
The N72 was closed from Rockfield Junction to Cappagh while the Military Road section of the N72 was also closed between Ballyneety Cross and the Master McGrath Monument.
The road to Clashmore was closed in the Whitechurch area while there was flooding on the road between Dungarvan and Clonmel in the Kilmanahan area.
In Tipperary, the N24 between Cahir and Clonmel had significant water in the Barne area and while it was not blocked, gardaí in Clonmel say care is needed, and also on the section of N24 between Clonmel and Kilsheelan.
The road between Freshford and Urlingford in Co Kilkenny was impassable following heavy rain and there was flooding on the main Callan-Kilkenny road in the Killamery area.
Gardaí in Enniscorthy said there was a blockage on the road near Castle Gardens while, in Wexford town, there was a tree down in Court Road.
Iarnród Éireann has also warned some rail services through Ballybrophy in Co Laois may experience delays.
