A woman aged in her 80s has died in a car crash in Co Cork.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the single-vehicle crash which occurred this morning on St Mary's Road in Midleton.
A woman aged in her 80s was the drive and sole occupant of the car.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body has been removed to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem.
The road is currently closed for a collision investigation and local diversions are in place
