A fresh appeal for witnesses has been issued by gardaí, after the death of a man over the weekend from injuries sustained in a road crash last month.

The pedestrian, who was in his 50, was injured in the collision with a car at Martin's Cross on the R215 in Rossmakay, Co Louth, at around 9.50pm on 27 March.

He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where he died at the weekend.

No other injuries were reported.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses or any one travelling on the R215 in Rossmakay between 9.45pm and 10pm on 27 March and has video footage - including dash cam - to contact Dundalk Garda Station at 042 938 8400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
