A man who arrived into Cork Airport from London Stansted earlier today without the correct paperwork was deported back to the UK.
The departure of the Ryanair plane he arrived in on earlier today was delayed for almost three hours this evening pending a decision from UK officials, but eventually it left without him.
The man has since been returned to the UK on another flight.
Gardaí say that up to three people a day are deported from Cork Airport because of incorrect paperwork.
Cork Airport issued this statement: "Ryanair flight FR909 to London Stansted, which was due to depart at 1620, departed Cork at 1908."
