A man in his 30s has been arrested by gardaí investigating a shooting in the Cherrywood Grove area of Clondalkin in Dublin last Friday.
The man was arrested this afternoon and is being detained in Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
A man in his 20s suffered serious head injuries in a shooting last Friday evening.
Investigations are ongoing and gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
