A man in his 60s has been arrested after more than half a million euro worth of suspected cannabis herb was found during a search operation in Castleblayney, Co Monaghan.
Gardaí founds the drugs, believed to be worth around €580,000, sealed in a number of vacuum bags.
The search was part of Operation Tara, which targets people involved in drug dealing and organised crime.
A man, aged in his 60s, who was arrested at the scene has since been charged and is set to appear before a sitting of Monaghan District Court tomorrow.
The drugs seized will now be sent for further analysis.
