A 42-year-old man has been charged in connection with the discovery of drugs worth an estimated €250,000 in Co Laois.
During a search operation at two premises near Ballyfin yesterday, gardaí seized 156 cannabis plants worth €124,800 along with quantities of cannabis valued at €120,000 and suspected amphetamine worth €10,000.
The man was taken to Tullamore Garda Station and was later charged in relation to the seizure.
