Four adults and a baby have been injured after a car struck a number of pedestrians in Malahide in Dublin this evening.

The incident happened on the Main Street at 6.40pm.

The occupants of the car, a man and a woman in their 80s and the pedestrians, a woman in her 30s, a woman in her 20s and a baby have been taken to Beamount Hospital for treatment.

Their injuries are said not to be life-threatening.

The Main Street was closed as emergency services dealt with the incident but it has since reopened.
