Two garda cars hit by stolen car in Wexford

Two gardaí were injured during a series of road collisions in Co Wexford last night after a car was stolen.

The gardaí were brought to hospital but have since been released and the vehicle involved has been recovered.

The theft of the car happened in the Piercetown area outside Wexford town at about 5.15pm.

According to a garda spokesman, the car was subsequently reported to have been involved in multiple road collisions, including collisions with two garda cars in the Kilmore Quay area.

Two officers were injured during the collisions and were brought to Wexford General Hospital for treatment. They have since been released.

No arrests have been made and gardaí are looking for information on the incidents.
