Gardaí in Navan are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured in a stabbing in Co Meath yesterday evening.
A man, aged in his 40s, was in his car when two men approached the vehicle and attacked him in the Balrath Woods area of Burtonstown at about 8pm.
He received a number of stab wounds and was later treated at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening and investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí asked for any person who may have witnessed the incident, anyone who may have information about it, or dash-cam footage, to come forward.
They appealed to anyone who was near the entrance to Balrath Woods, and who may have noticed any people or vehicles, between 7.30pm and 9pm on 26 December to contact them.
